YiLan River Canoe
YiLan River Canoe offered different guided river trips on the DongShan River.
DongShan River is located in YiLan County, in the Northeast of Taiwan. It takes about 1 hour drive from Taipei to Yilan by car or bus. You can also take the train to Luodong station or Dongshan station.
The total length of DongShan River is 24 kilometers, there is 12km on the mountain and 12km on the YiLan plain. According to the gentle terrain of YiLan plain and the high quantity of rainfall during monsoon season. There is a plenty of water in this area！
The average yearly rainfall is between 2000mm to 2500mm. That is why DongShan River was famous by flood. There is an old slang , “If there is no flood during 3 years, even pigs can carry golden earring”. The local government started to do some water control structure since 60 years ago, now it’s the most famous recreational river in Taiwan. There are some scenic site along the river, and often held boating competition every year.
YiLan River Canoe is the first registered canoe company on DongShan River. Our guide are qualified lifeguard, and can introduce environmental experience, local stories to you.

Estuary Trip
